Why CMS Sports

A weight room is not a coach. We are.

Plenty of places will hand a young athlete a workout and walk away. We do the opposite. CMS Sports is built around coached, individualized performance training — a screen, a written plan, technique corrected rep by rep, and testing that shows the work is paying off.

The result is the part scouts and coaches actually notice: an athlete who is faster, stronger, more explosive, and harder to break — whatever the sport.

Coached every rep. No machine memberships, no guessing — a real coach, a real plan, and numbers that move.

The Programs

Seven ways we make athletes

Every program is coached and individualized. Mix what your sport and season demand — or let us build the plan for you.

Speed & AgilityMove faster · change direction01

Speed & Agility

First-step quickness wins games. We coach clean sprint mechanics, acceleration and deceleration, and the change-of-direction footwork that lets an athlete react, cut, and pull away. Every drill is built to carry straight over to the field, court, mat, or track.

  • Acceleration & top-end speed
  • Cut, plant & reactive agility
  • Sprint mechanics on video
Strength & PowerTrain the engine02

Strength & Power

Real, coached strength is the base everything else stands on. Athletes learn to squat, hinge, push, and pull with technique first, then build the explosive power that shows up in a jump, a throw, or a tackle — loaded progressively and at the right age.

  • Technique before load
  • Explosive & plyometric work
  • Age-appropriate progressions
Explosive PowerJump higher · hit harder03

Explosive Power

Strength only matters if an athlete can use it fast. Box jumps, bounds, med-ball throws, and landing mechanics teach the body to produce force quickly and absorb it safely — the difference between a good vertical and a great one.

  • Jump & landing mechanics
  • Plyometric progressions
  • Force production & rate
Sport-Specific ConditioningBuilt for your game04

Sport-Specific Conditioning

Soccer, basketball, baseball, volleyball, football, track — every sport asks the body for something different. We map conditioning, energy systems, and movement patterns to the demands of your sport and position so you finish strong in the fourth quarter.

  • Position-aware programming
  • Energy-system conditioning
  • Movement carry-over
Youth Athletic DevelopmentAges 8 and up05

Youth Athletic Development

Younger athletes need a foundation, not a copy of a pro's program. We build coordination, balance, body awareness, and basic strength in a way that keeps training fun — so kids grow into confident, durable, multi-sport athletes.

  • Coordination & body control
  • Confidence and fun first
  • Long-term, durable foundation
1-on-1 Performance CoachingFully personalized06

1-on-1 Performance Coaching

Private sessions built entirely around one athlete — a specific goal, a position, a tryout, or a return from injury. A dedicated coach, a written plan, and the kind of attention to detail and technique that group settings can't always give.

  • Dedicated coach & plan
  • Return-to-play friendly
  • Detailed technique work
Assessment & TestingMeasure what matters07

Assessment & Testing

We start by measuring — sprint times, vertical, broad jump, and a movement screen — so training targets the right things and progress is something you can see, not guess at. Re-test on a schedule and watch the numbers move.

  • Combine-style metrics
  • Movement & mobility screen
  • Re-test to track progress

The CMS Method

A process, not a promise.

We don't promise highlight reels. We run a process that turns effort into measurable gains — the same four steps for every athlete, scaled to their age and their sport.

A coach guiding an athlete through a training session

Assess. Program. Train. Measure.

01

Assess

Every athlete starts with a movement screen and baseline testing — speed, power, mobility — so we know exactly where we're starting from.

02

Program

We write a plan around that athlete: their sport, their age, their season, and the gaps the assessment found. No copy-paste workouts.

03

Train

Coached sessions where technique comes first and effort is expected. Small groups and 1-on-1 so every rep gets a set of eyes.

04

Measure

We re-test on a schedule. Progress is shown in numbers and on video — so athletes (and parents) can see exactly what's changing.

Coaches, not just a room

Every session is coached. You're not handed a workout and left alone — technique gets corrected rep by rep.

Individualized, always

An 11-year-old and a varsity lineman don't train the same way. Programming is built for the athlete in front of us.

Built around your season

Pre-season, in-season, off-season — training adjusts so you peak when it counts and stay healthy the rest of the year.

Progress you can see

We test, re-test, and track. The goal isn't a hard workout — it's a faster, stronger, more durable athlete.

Who We Train

Common questions

What ages and sports do you train?+

Athletes from about age 8 through college and adult, across every sport — speed, strength, and explosiveness transfer to all of them. We group athletes by age and ability and program for the individual, so a younger athlete and a varsity starter are never doing the same workout.

My athlete has never trained before — is that okay?+

That's exactly who we build for. Every athlete starts with an assessment and learns proper technique before adding any real load. The goal is a confident, durable athlete — we move at the right pace for them.

How is this different from a regular gym?+

Every session is coached. You're not handed a workout and left alone — a coach screens movement, writes the program, corrects technique rep by rep, and tracks progress with real testing. It's performance training, not a membership to a room full of machines.

Do you work with whole teams?+

Yes. We run off-season and in-season blocks for entire teams, coordinated with your coach, with on-site options and group rates. Reach out and we'll build something around your schedule.
